Openswan is a set of tools for doing IPsec on Linux operating systems.
The toolset consists of three major components:
The 26sec components are included in the 2.6 kernel, and partially replace KLIPS.
On 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4, the KLIPS component can be used. It is well proven over 6 years of development.
